On a day like today, 27 years ago, Gabourey "Gabby" Sidibe (A.K.A Claireece "Precious" Jones) was born in Brooklyn, New York. And I need to thank her, because since I watched "Precious" I no longer feel like I need to hide my most sacred secrets, because I also wish I had a light-skinned boyfriend with real nice hair. And I wanna be on the cover of a magazine too. But first I wanna be in one of them BET videos.
And as a gift (to myself) here's a pic of Miss Sidibe chatting with the professor of glamour Miss Alexis Carrington (or Joan Collins if you like to pretend she's a real person), and well, I do not read minds, but I'm pretty sure they were just having a conversation about diamonds, gold, champagne, caviar, corporate takeovers, Persian kittens, bubble baths and how Joan was in talks for the Mo'Nique role in Precious.
